Buy House Smart (“we,” “us”) provides home-buying research tools built on publicly listed real-estate data. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

Information we collect

• Account information. If you sign in with Google, we receive your email address and name to create your account and save your work. We never see or store your Google password.
• Content you create. Listings you save and searches associated with your account.
• Usage data. Analytics about how the site is used (pages viewed, features used, approximate region, device type) to improve the product. When you are signed in, this activity may be associated with your account.

How we use information

• To provide the service — sign-in, saving listings, and returning your results.
• To understand usage and improve features and reliability.
• To communicate with you about your account or important service changes.

We do not sell your personal information.

Third-party services

• Google — for sign-in (OAuth). Governed by Google’s privacy policy.
• Real-estate data providers — property and sold-comparable data is sourced from public listing services; it is provided for informational purposes and may not be complete or current.
• Analytics — PostHog (product analytics) and Vercel(hosting, performance, and traffic analytics) process technical and usage data on our behalf. When you are signed in, PostHog associates your activity with your email so we can understand how signed-in users use the product. We do not use this data for advertising and do not sell it.

Cookies

We use essential cookies to keep you signed in and remember your preferences, and limited analytics to measure usage. You can control cookies through your browser settings.

Data retention & deletion

We keep account data while your account is active. To delete your account and associated saved data, contact us at the address below and we will remove it.

Your choices

You can use most of the site without an account. If you have an account, you may request access to or deletion of your data at any time.

Your California privacy rights

If you are a California resident, you have the right to know what personal information we collect, to request access to or deletion of it, and to opt out of any “sale” or “sharing” of personal information. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. Children

The service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.
